Spanning over 50 episodes, we follow the historical fiction of the Sanada clansmen as they plotted and fought their ways to survive the changing political alliances during the Warring States Period of Japan. As the landscape of feudal Japan was being reshaped by Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Tokugawa Ieyasu, we see the impacts on the Sanada families as they vied for power and survival amongst stronger warlords that surrounded their homeland. The story centres around the main protagonist, Sanada Genjiro, and how he rose through desperate circumstances from a small samurai clan in Shinano until he became known as the most heroic figure who ever lived in the Sengoku Period. The series also highlights Sanada Masayuki (Genjiro's father) and Sanada Genzaburo (Genjiro's older brother), as well as other important historical figures whose lives intertwined with Genjiro's fate and destiny.

可见制作团队的努力和诚意，可惜剧本只是三谷序列里擦过及格线的作品，堺雅人演的很卖力但总觉得无法进入角色。坚持老久结果还是弃了。
对不起我看不下去。。。。感觉无聊
拍摄很细致的历史剧，想我泱泱天朝可拍的朝代比倭国多得很，若能谦虚学习他人所长，不至于目下烂片遍地的局面！不过该剧部分角色的选用不太符合史实，堺叔担正那囧样就难以和幸村联想到一起，信之的戏份也不少，但气场太弱，暂时觉得形象最贴近的还是昌幸。剧中出现局势大地图该是用了《信长之野望》里的。
哈哈哈哈 不愧是三谷幸喜 大河剧拍出喜剧的效果 哈哈哈哈 “只要浅间山不爆发，我们武田家就不会灭亡！”
