His unfaithful wife is the beneficiary. The insurance agency arranges to pay, but also assigns their top investigator, Peter Lynch, to sniff out irregularities. The widow goes to Greece for the payout; Peter follows her, introducing himself. He becomes her protector and her companion, but the relationship is short lived. She has decided to take the money in cash and plans an immediate trip to Tokyo. Is she guilty of her husband's murder, and if so, who's her accomplice? An Athenian police inspector, an Interpol agent, and a French photojournalist join Lynch in the investigation.

勉强及格。“所有巨富的背后都是罪恶”，开场尴尬，遗孀和情人的戏拍的黏糊粗劣，弄个巨假的飞机模型演示失事，但进入案情以后马蒂诺找到了正确节奏，一面是不断的杀人，一面是围绕保险金的布局跟反转，牵涉人物不少，但焦点始终未散。马蒂诺拍这种都市犯罪片，也能把握大外景的构图、主观镜头的惊悚感营造之类技术环节，虽然配乐还是经常不着调，他那种白色调的画面也是种特色了。中间寻找线索，用了《放大》里翻拍照片再放大的梗，片尾真凶在游艇上摊牌那场戏拍出了《怒海沉尸》的感觉。男主和记者情人那个半地下室的家不错，挑高挺高的，还配了个一层的花园
三个意大利美女让我脸盲，情节不错可惜结尾乏力。
比较典型的giallo，具有多个性感美女，罪案凶手扑朔迷离，凶杀场景氛围紧张。情节虽有硬伤，但影片足够赏心悦目~
三星，气氛营造的比较到位，但逻辑思维上略有牵强。在金钱面前，真凶格局上还是棋差一招。
